- We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, a revelation
from God to man, and is final authority.
- We believe that the godhead consists of three separate and distinct
personalities, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, who are eternal
and who function as one entity. Jesus Christ, who is God manifested in
the flesh, is the second member of the godhead.
- We believe that man was created good and upright, in the image of
God and with dominion over all of the works of God. But, by willfully
transgressing God's commands, man fell from his position of uprightness
and dominion and doomed each succeeding generation to be born in
spiritual death, subject to sin, sickness and poverty. (Genesis 1:26;
Genesis 3:17-24; Romans 3:23; I Corinthians 15:21,22; Romans 5:12)
- We believe that a price had to be paid in order to redeem man from
this fallen state and that price was the shed blood of Jesus. On the
cross, Jesus Christ who knew no sin, became sin for man so that man
might return to right standing with God and be able to walk in newness
of life. He too, took stripes upon his back, providing divine healing
for all mankind. (II Corinthians 5:21; Romans 3:21-26; Isaiah 53:5;
Psalm 103:3)
- We believe that man accepts this redemption through faith in the
shed blood of Jesus, by believing that God has raised Jesus from the
dead and by saying that Jesus Christ is his/her Lord and Savior. (Romans
10:8-10)
- We believe that the evidence of man's salvation is witnessed to him
directly by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:16) and demonstrated to others
through a life lived in the pursuit of true holiness (Romans 8:6, 11-15)
Baptism in water should be observed as an outward sign that the believer
has died with Christ, crucified the old man and risen with Jesus in
newness of life (Romans 6:4-6)
- We believe that the Lord's Supper, Holy Communion, should be
observed as a remembrance of his body and blood until the Lord comes. (I
Corinthians 11:23-26)
- We believe that the church was not left comfortless when Jesus
ascended into heaven but that the Father gave another comforter, the
Holy Spirit, who was meant to live inside every believer in fullness.
(John 14:15-17) The Holy Spirit is the one who leads and guides
believers in the truth, who communicates to them what the Father says,
who endues them with power from on high and shows them things to come.
(John 14:26; John 16:13-15; Acts 1:8)
- We believe that the initial evidence of being filled with the Holy
Spirit is the physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit
gives utterance. (Acts 2:1-4; Acts 10:44-46)
- We believe that the church of the Lord Jesus Christ, as a whole, is
an habitation of the Spirit and has been given the great commission to
go into all of the world to preach the gospel to every creature.
(Ephesians 2:19-22; Mark 16:15-18) Further, that the fivefold ministry
consisting of the apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher has
been given for the perfecting of the saints for work in ministry.
(Ephesians 4:11, 12)
- We believe in total prosperity: Spiritual (John 3:1-3; II
Corinthians 5:17-21; Romans 10:9,10); Mental (II Timothy 1:7; Romans
12:2; Isaiah 26:3); Physical (Isaiah 53:4,5; Matthew 8:17; I Peter
2:24); Financial (III John 1:2; Malachi 3:10,11; Luke 6:38; II
Corinthians 9:6-10; Deuteronomy 28:1-14) and Social (Proverbs 3:3,4)
- We believe that Jesus is coming again to gather his church unto
himself and to take them to their eternal home in Heaven. This is the
blessed hope of the church. (I Corinthians 15:51,52; I Thessalonians
4:16,17 and II Thessalonians 2:1)
- We believe in the Millennial Reign of Jesus, a period when Jesus
will return to earth from Heaven, with His saints, to rule and reign on
earth for 1,000 years. (Isaiah 9:6,7; Revelation 19:11-16; Revelation
20:1-7)
- We believe there is a literal place called hell which was prepared
for the devil and his angels. God never desired for man to occupy hell
but desires for all men to be saved. However, those who reject the
redemptive work of Jesus will be eternally separated from God in hell.
The devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, and anyone
whose name is not found written in the book of life shall suffer eternal
torment in the lake of fire. This is the second death. (I Timothy 2:
3,4; Luke 16:22-24; Matthew 25:41; Mark 16:16; II Thessalonians 2:7-12;
Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:10-15)
